1. Battery won't charge
The #1 cause across every ebike. On Ride1Up specifically: Ride1Up uses standard Bafang charger profiles. 52V and 48V packs need different chargers — check voltage label before testing.

2. Range suddenly dropped
Ride1Up 52V packs hold charge better than 48V. Check if yours has firmware-level PAS adjustments — can optimise range 10-20%.
3. Motor cuts out mid-ride
Mid-drive motors on the Ride1Up handle hills better but are sensitive to chain-line alignment. Check chain doesn't slip under load — often the root cause of "cut-outs".
4. Display error codes
Ride1Up displays follow Bafang conventions. E08 = display comms, E11 = controller overheat.
5. Throttle not responding
UK Class 1 pedelecs (most Ride1Ups sold in UK) restrict throttle to walk-assist (6 km/h). If throttle worked before and doesn't now, check display settings menu for throttle ON/OFF, then test the hall sensor voltage with a multimeter.
6. Pedal assist won't engage
Ride1Up higher-tier models (LMT'D) use torque sensor — requires dealer calibration. Cadence models: standard alignment check.
